For this activity, please write a letter that includes the issue you have chosen, why you have chosen it, and what you would like our Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, to do about it. It is your job to persuade us (and her!) that it’s an important issue.

    Hey Elsie!

    Thank you for this letter. You have written very well. I appreciate how you were able to voice your opinion so clearly. It’s a good skill to have.

    My favourite part of this letter is when you talked about education. A lot of people would agree that education is a way of improving people’s lives. That’s why school is compulsory for every child in New Zealand right up until they turn 16!

    You are thinking very thoughtfully about people who are in hard situations. Good work trying to come up with solutions to help.
