Day 5, Activity 1, Against the Odds

Things that are important to me:

1. My favourite TV show is ‘Friends’. I have been lucky enough to have a few ‘Friends’

collectable items. These are very important to me for many reasons. I guess the most
important reason is that I have many friends, and I love my friends.
The TV programme is a ‘feel good’ programme and that’s exactly how I feel when I see,
talk and spend time with my friends.

2. My childhood nighty. I have a Tweety Bird nighty that I got when I was about four years old.
When I first got it,it came down to my ankles. We lived in the Middle East so the thin, soft
cotton was really snugly. Now that I’m 12, it is definitely shorter, but not too short. There’s
only one rip in it and I intend to keep this nighty forever. It gives me such a snugly, secure feeling.

3 .My family is super important to me. I live with my parents and my three brothers, one younger

and two older. Even though we fight, we still love each other and enjoy spending time together
on the lake or playing board games. We get along pretty well for siblings. Since we moved back to
New Zealand from the Middle East, I’ve spent a lot more time with my cousins and this I LOVE.
I didn’t realise what I was missing until I got back, so I’m very grateful we’re now here to create
lots more memories.
